CURRENT_TIMESTAMP
CURRENT_TIMESTAMP is a SQL function in the Date/Time Functions category. Returns the current date and time. SQL standard equivalent of NOW(). The syntax is CURRENT_TIMESTAMP. It accepts none. It returns current timestamp. A typical example: SELECT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP; -- 2026-06-06 14:30:00 INSERT INTO orders (created_at) VALUES (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP); A close relative is NOW(), which returns the current date and time as a timestamp.
