NOW()
NOW() is a SQL function in the Date/Time Functions category. Returns the current date and time as a timestamp. The syntax is NOW(). It accepts none. It returns current timestamp. A typical example: SELECT NOW(); -- 2026-06-06 14:30:00 INSERT INTO logs (created_at) VALUES (NOW()); A close relative is CURDATE(), which returns the current date without time.
