INSTR()
INSTR() is a SQL function in the String Functions category. Returns the position of the first occurrence of substring in string. 0 if not found. The syntax is INSTR(string, substring). It accepts string, substring. It returns position integer. A typical example: SELECT INSTR('Hello World', 'World'); -- 7 SELECT * FROM products WHERE INSTR(name, 'Pro') > 0; A close relative is CONCAT(), which concatenates two or more strings into one string.
